Individual Counselling with Neil
Neil Westwood (he/him) is a Registered Social Worker, qualified whānau ora navigator, and experienced counsellor who brings over a decade of practice supporting adults through life’s most complex and meaningful moments. His approach is calm, relational, and authentic, helping you feel safe, heard, and understood from the moment you walk in.
Life can feel overwhelming at times... whether you’re carrying stress that never seems to ease, navigating relationship challenges that leave you second‑guessing yourself, feeling stuck in patterns you can’t quite shift, or trying to make sense of emotions that feel too big or too heavy to hold on your own. These moments can creep in quietly or arrive all at once, and they often leave people feeling unsure of where to turn or how to move forward.
Individual counselling offers a private, steady space to slow down and breathe. It’s a place where you don’t have to be “on,” where you don’t have to have the right words, and where you don’t have to hold everything together. Instead, you’re given room to explore what’s happening beneath the surface... the thoughts, emotions, experiences, and stories that shape how you’re feeling day to day.
In this space, you can talk openly without fear of judgment, take your time to understand what’s going on inside you, and begin to reconnect with the strengths you may have lost sight of. Counselling becomes a moment of pause in the middle of the noise... a chance to reflect, to feel supported, and to find clarity in the places that feel tangled or overwhelming.
